time to break up with ebay again

Because I really do have an unhealthy attachment. I mean, I already bought two pairs of boots when I was in New York, but for some reason I felt like my new coat still needed something else ...

and what did I find on ebay ...

oh my, perfect Fryes for $50! Well I hope they're perfect; ebay hasn't let me down yet!

buttons and boots

I really have got to find some time to get to my sewing projects. Find some time, make some time - what is that? I guess weekends I just love to laze around and be dozy or get outside and enjoy some nature since I don't do much of either during the week.

I did finally get over to the button shop yesteday and picked out some buttons for a couple of jackets that are looking cheaper than they need to with their crappy buttons. I love these kinds of places and can spend hours looking at every little thing, thinking about what to put them on.

But I went on a break from work and I was in a hurry, so I only had time to do the job at hand. Then when I'd picked out my finds and went to pay I realized I had left my wallet in the office - no! So I gotta race back there today.

On my way back, I happened to get lured into a shoe store (can't imagine how that happened) and became quite enamoured by the Frye cowboy boots.

I've been seriously digging this flirty dress with cowboy boots look for a while now. Probably stems from watching all those seasons of Friday Night Lights over the winter and spending far too much time thinking about Tim Riggins ...

(these should not be worn like this but I think they would be hot with a short skirt)

But these Frye boots, they are not cheap. Ebay to the rescue as usual. I guess ebay and I are seeing each other again ...

cause I wanna win me these boots!

dear ebay

I love you but I think we should spend some time apart, and start seeing other people ...

shoe addict

I already own both the black & purple versions of these from Indigo ...

but when I saw the version that Miz Mooz was doing I fell even more in love ...

but they are higher and much more expensive and how many pairs of essentially the same shoe can one woman have?

ebay said 3 ... yay!

ebay is crazy

Wow, so I've been coveting the Homer Laughling Orange Tree bowls over at Mabel's House (learned how to hot-link today) and since I don't know anything about antique fairs I went straight to ebay to see what I could find.

These gorgous babies were originally made as sets of 5 mixing bowls in graduated sizes (now don't ask me what I plan to mix in them because I don't cook/bake) and didn't ebay just have a set of 4 - which is apparently unheard of. Unfortunately, my newbie status to this whole bidding thing meant that they got away for a ludicrously low price to someone who'd better love them. But I got me one just the same and I can't wait to see it live and in person!

While I was there I managed to snag this too!! I have always been a serious sucker for vases and cut flowers - as is Marcel - but I thought it would be nice to try and grow something (and save some dough). I have a definite black thumb but I've been keeping a little purple shamrock plant alive at work for months so I'm going to give it a go when ms daisy here arrives.
